Portrait: Colby – The Waters – Pike Road, Alabama

If we’re friends on Facebook, then you might already know that this session didn’t start off as calm and peaceful as it looks.  It seemed like it would be a great day – mom and dad were joining in, along with dog Tutter (and what’s better than a boy and his dog?).  I shot Colby’s newborn session and many sessions with his family before that, so I was thinking “No sweat!” when I arrived for this session. Well, when I came in, I held eye contact with him a little too long, and he started WAILING (like with big fat tears the size of Volkswagens wailing). It took a little time but he slowly warmed up, and finally decided that the Creeper Lady with a Camera was sort of, a little bit, not so weird. Kinda.
