Once upon a time (2007 to be exact), there was a girl with an idea. She wanted to put together a Christmas card, and not just any card. A press printed card (which was a relatively new thing at the time, compared to the oblong printed-on-photo-paper kind) with some kind of themed picture on it, just to...
Love! This made me cry. Sweet Missy.
Made me tear up as well, Julie. I’ve always loved your card series with Missy and I love the whole story you’ve given us here. My condolences on her passing but kudos for you for sharing her with us in such a unique way over the years.
No words, just a warm place in my heart.
You are such a special person with a wonderful heart! Missy was such a wonderful friend! Thank you for sharing these wonderful memories! Can’t wait to see you! 😀
Simply magical! Happy New Year! 🙂
Julie, I still remember the day I was sitting in your chair having my nails done….and you shared your”photography” scrap book with me. You had a dream to become a photographer and just needed some encouragement to take the first steps. I am so glad you did! I look in my home and see your photography everywhere of my family and my two children (who are now grown kids). It seems like yesterday you had those two jumping on hay bails. I am so glad Taylor Crossing Animal Hospital had the opportunity to share in the life and care of Missy. She will forever be in my hearts and your cards forever an inspiration of what happens when talent meets determination.
I also hope you don’t mind that your post will be shown on Taylor Crossing’s Facebook page this morning. Happy New Year Julie Lowry and I hope the new year takes you from one end of the globe to the other snapping memories and creating images people will view for a lifetime.
you, my dear, are among the very few with real talent. May 2015, bring you joy, love, and prosperity. May you also be blessed with a “New” Missy, never to replace but only to continue you extraordinary career. Happy New Year.
Such a wonderful tribute!
Thank you for sharing. Now I need a Kleenex.
What a beautiful way to honor Missy. Happy New Year!
