Commercial: Jonathan Bloom – The “Green” CD is out!

Went to the release party Wednesday night and picked up the finished Jonathan Bloom CD, “Green” – and it looks awesome! I’m pretty sure I squealed like a 12 year old girl at the midnight showing of Twilight when I saw it. Big hugs to JB for crediting me for the photos and concept, and putting me in his list of thank yous. I feel extra cool for being mentioned twice. 🙂

If you want to buy a copy of his CD, you can find him on Facebook or you can contact me and I’ll put you in touch with him! jbcd1jbcd2

Commercial: Jonathan Bloom CD Shoot – Pike Road, Alabama

If you’ve been to La Jolla, Crockmier’s, or The Alley Bar lately and heard a little Ben Harper or Kings of Leon being sung by a guy with a guitar, chances are you’ve heard Jonathan Bloom. That’s exactly how I met him, and I’ve been a fan since – so needless to say, when he told me he was recording a CD of original music and asked me to shoot the images for it, I was stoked! The CD is titled “Green” – you can pick one up tonight at the CD release party at The Alley Bar! You can also pick up the latest issue of RSVP to read a little bit about him – he’s featured in an article along with my pics. 🙂jbblog1jbblog2jbblog3jbblog4

Portrait: The Ty Project – Montgomery, Alabama

A few months ago, I saw the always fashionable Ty sporting perfectly coiffed retro hair and equally chic glasses – and immediately, the idea of a “Mad Men”-slash-men’s fashion editorial inspired shoot popped into my head. It took a little while for us to coordinate schedules, but we finally made it happen, and I was totally giddy because Ty showed up with the perfect clothes for the shoot! There are many more images to come, hopefully coming together into a really cool album project, but for now, here’s a little peek:tyblog1tyblog2

Engagement: Candice & Hammond – Lake Martin, Alabama

I’ve been lucky to know Candice and Hammond for few years now, through my good friend Kamee. We used to all go out to dinner and jokingly talk about how Candice wanted me to shoot their wedding if they ever got engaged, and I would say that if they ever got engaged they knew who to call. Well one night, after a Britney Spears concert, Hammond popped the question and not too long after that, I got the phone call. 🙂

They decided on Lake Martin as the location for their session, since they spent quite a bit of time there in the summer. Hammond’s great at sailing, so they arranged to shoot on a sailboat while we were there. There was supposed to be a good chance of rain that day, but thankfully, it stayed dry and we got an awesome cloudy sky out of the deal. Stumbling across an empty lot full of weeds was an added bonus!warrenblog1warrenblog2warrenblog3warrenblog4warrenblog5warrenblog6warrenblog8warrenblog7

Commercial: Sa Za (serious Italian food!)

Whew! Since my last blog post, things have been nuts – in the last few weeks I’ve been swamped with fall/holiday sessions, plus I’ve taken trips to Nashville and Dallas for photography workshops (gotta make sure I stay on my toes so I can keep bringing you new and exciting stuff). But more on all that later!

Recently, I did a quick shoot with the staff of Sa Za, which if you haven’t heard, is a new restaurant in The Alley downtown. We did some serious and some smiley shots of Chef Joe Dimaggio, Jr., his partners, and staff, but when he struck this pose, we knew we had a winner. If it looks familiar, it’s because they chose this image to run in their ads in The Montgomery Advertiser, RSVP Montgomery Magazine, and Montgomery Living!sazablog1
