Portrait: The Pirofsky Family – Lake Martin, Alabama

Can you say super hot family??? I can’t believe I’m admitting this, but I had my own version of that Pussycat Dolls song “Dont Cha” in my head the whole time we were shooting – “dont cha wish your family was hot like mine”! Not only were they super hot, they were fun too. When we decided to do their session at Lake Martin, I was excited because we had not just the lake to work with, but this awesome fluffy grass all over the place (I know, I’m easily amused). I knew I wanted to get them IN the lake, and they were all for it. To get the shot I wanted, I had to get in with them – chest deep with my camera of course. Risky, but worth it!pirofskyfamilyblog5pirofskyfamilyblog6pirofskyfamilyblog3pirofskyfamilyblog4pirofskyfamilyblog1pirofskyfamilyblog2

Snapshots: Toronto, Ontario, Canada – again!

It’s been a crazy couple of months here, and it’s only going to get busier! Lots of traveling lately, including my second trip in two months to Toronto to shoot another wedding with my friend Judy Cormier! Wedding pics will be posted later on, for now here’s a few I took with my little point and shoot camera when Judy and I took a little stroll…torontoblog1torontoblog2torontoblog3torontoblog4

Wedding Album: Gwen & Danny

Every time I get an album in, there’s a mix of feelings. Part of me is so excited because it’s like opening a Christmas present – it’s a thrill to see the finished product because I have basically seen it in my brain since the day of the wedding, and I can’t wait to ship it off to the newlyweds so they can see it too! But then there’s another part of me that is sad to see the book go, because I want to keep them all! Gwen and Danny’s album was no exception – they chose to pair super distressed looks-like-it-could-have-been-a-biker’s-jacket black leather with ultra modern ostrich textured leather in a copper tone. Rough and tumble meets contemporary and chic!mayhanalbumblog1mayhanalbumblog2mayhanalbumblog3mayhanalbumblog4

Portrait: Patricia, Tiffany, & Danielle – Montgomery, Alabama

Tiffany and Danielle decided to give their mom Patricia a birthday gift that lasts forever – a portrait session! I was mesmerized by the beautiful eyes on these ladies, and how easily they interacted when I told them to act like I wasn’t there. They seemed completely at ease and not at all camera shy!hortonblog1hortonblog2hortonblog3hortonblog4hortonblog5
