When Betsy asked me to do some new pictures for her for an upcoming publication, I couldn’t wait to see what she came up with. She had the adorable Kaitlin as her model, and a little help from hairstylist Ty Eiland, who gave Kaitlin the perfect do. Always on top of the trends, Betsy said the “Barbie” look (girly colors like pink, and lush eyelashes) was what was hot, so she worked her magic – and then let Kaitlin work hers in front of the camera! Sometimes it’s hard to make people smile or laugh – not Jacque! I could mention the thought of laughing and she would crack up, which was great! We had to get Dad involved in some of the maternity picture taking festivities of course – he brought along his Manchester United shirt, and I think he was surprised that I knew that it was a soccer team (David Beckham may have something to do with my little bit of soccer knowledge, haha). Luckily, they also brought along “Baby’s 1st Soccer Ball” so we were definitely going to put those two items together!

Some babies suck their thumbs – Davis dares to be different and goes for two fingers instead! So we had to make sure we got a picture of that (which was not a problem, he gave us plenty of opportunities) before we took him outside, where he was all smiles even though it was cold out!

When the Carrs found out they were expecting little girl #2, we knew we needed to involve little girl #1 in the maternity session! So we made sure to take lots of pictures with the whole family in them, and gave Kinsley special things to do – like asking her to draw a picture of her baby sister on mommy’s tummy (with washable markers of course)!

Miss Lainey was so cute with her big blue eyes and funny faces – she made a great fish face and was an expert at peek-a-boo! I loved how the wispy ends of her hair looked when the sun came through it, and how serious she looked when she was really focused on something.
