Happy Easter!

This post is for my family (mom’s side) back in the OC, WA, AZ, and MO! I didn’t forget about the pictures – I am still working on them! Lucky for me I have stayed busy, and that is a good thing! So here’s a little peek for your Easter present, I miss you all and wish I could be there with you!

If you’re one of my clients/blog readers and you’re looking at the pictures thinking, “Huh?” – hopefully this will clear things up:

1. My mom is Asian – a lot of people are surprised to hear that because they can’t tell by looking at me!
2. Yes, there are a lot of us (this isn’t even everyone, there were a few family members that couldn’t make it).
3. Yes, we are a little bit nuts. 🙂 But we always have fun together!

Happy Easter to everyone, enjoy your families today!

Engagement: Katie & LeRoy – Wetumpka, Alabama

I love engagement sessions because they give me a chance to get to know the couple before the wedding day. I never know what to expect – sometimes the bride is a blinker, sometimes the groom doesn’t smile, etc. But Katie and LeRoy were so easy to shoot! I loved both of their smiles – you know, the kind where they smile with their whole faces and not just with their teeth? They did everything I asked, no matter how silly it sounded – my favorite was the upside down kiss a la Spiderman!

Wedding Album: LeeAnn & Jason

Here’s one more awesome album – I love how every album is different, because I design them based on the pictures I capture from that particular wedding. No cookie cutter albums here! LeeAnn & Jason chose the ever popular ostrich texture in a coppery tone to accent the spine of their classic black leather book! Gorgeous!

Portrait: Gage – Montgomery, Alabama

I couldn’t get over how much Gage looked less like a baby and more like a little man this time around (especially in his argyle sweater!). There’s still a little mischievous boy in there somewhere though, because he did one of the best birthday cake smashes I’ve ever seen!

Something about this picture in particular just makes me happy:

Portrait: The Crawford Family – Pike Road, Alabama

How can you NOT love a family that 1.) has tons of dogs and 2.) has a Grandpa that rocks out a super cute hat??? Some of the canine family members decided to assert their independence and not participate in our shoot, others made sure they got in a shot or two – I think there were at least 4 or 5 total, which made it fun for a dog lover like me!
