More from New Orleans

Yes, I’m still backtrack blogging (does that make it “backtrogging”?) here and there, but I’ve had lots of adventures in the last few months that I still haven’t told you about! So here’s a blast from the past – a while back I took a little jaunt down to New Orleans to go to an awesome photography workshop with the uber fabulous SoCal photographer, Jessica Claire. If you know me and my style, then you know that me shooting around New Orleans is like being in a photography candy store – there was no shortage of cool places to go. So here’s a couple of my shots along with one of Jessica in action!

Portrait: The Howard Family – Auburn, Alabama

It might seem funny to call a couple a “family”, but I figure they are married and brought their dog, Docker, so that makes them a family! We did their shoot at Auburn University, which had conveniently been “rolled” the night before – we did some shots in toilet paper free areas, but then I decided to just go with it and use the Charmin to our advantage! I don’t think Docker had ever played in toilet paper before, but he didn’t seem to mind, he was so sweet and had given me lots of kisses by the time we were finished!

Madalyn & Jerrod’s Wedding Album

Backtrack blog post alert! I haven’t posted any wedding albums in a while (had to put that off because I had too many sessions to post first), so here is one! Madalyn and Jerrod chose an awesome goldtone ostrich textured leather to accent the classic black base color of their album – the result is super rich!

Vegas Baby!

This year is a year of travels for Chanterelle Photography! First on the list was my annual trip to Las Vegas for the WPPI (Wedding and Portrait Photographers International) convention and tradeshow. I’ll have more pictures soon, but for now, here’s a little peek at what we were up to – you’ll see me in the video helping my friend Andy Armstrong set up his booth at the tradeshow. Apparently I’m really concentrating on whatever it is I was doing because I don’t even look up at the camera, LOL!

Portrait: Hudson – Tallassee, Alabama

I *love love love* shooting with Hudson (was that enough emphasis? lol). This was the second time I got to see him, and I swear he is the most easygoing, mellow baby I have EVER worked with. EV-ER. You can change his clothes, move him around, whatever. He doesn’t fuss, he just chills out and kills you with cuteness. And…I think his cheeks get more squishable the older he gets.
