I was asked to go high above downtown Montgomery to the beautiful Capital City Club, where Madalyn & Jerrod’s family and friends got together to celebrate the night before their wedding day. They were treated to a fabulous dinner courtesy of Jerrod’s parents, and a spectacular view – including a brightly lit Riverwalk Stadium, where the Biscuits were playing that night!

Emily is the most wide awake baby I’ve ever seen! I think she closed her eyes for no more than five minutes total the entire time I was there. I love how she tilts her head to the right when she is just chilling out (apparently she has a tendency to go that way!).

Madalyn became Mrs. Maddox on a stormy Saturday – but before then, she hid her bridal portrait from Jerrod with a cute stick figure girl drawn on a piece of paper, stuck to the front of the frame! Their wedding sneak peek will be up over the weekend, but until then, take a peek at the gorgeous bride!

The first things I noticed when Gage and his mom came into the studio were his big puppy dog eyes! Normally, babies this age need a couple of breaks during a session, but Gage was a trooper and stuck it out no matter how much mom tickled him!

Click to play Tom Brokaw’s emotional announcement of the passing of Tim Russert, the host of Meet the Press and frequent contributor to various NBC and MSNBC shows. I was shocked to hear about it, and will miss his fair-minded reporting, something that seems to be so rare nowadays on tv. There was always something about the way he presented himself that I felt demanded respect, and I am sad to hear that he is gone.
