Just thought I’d post a few updates to let you know what’s going on here at Chanterelle!

1. Proof books – Most vendors I deal with (lab, album companies, etc.) implement pricing increases every year. This year is no exception, and unfortunately, the cost of proof books and other printed products has risen enough that it required me to reevaluate my own pricing. So after much thought, I decided that instead of raising my prices across the board to make up the difference, I would discontinue proof books. With access to the internet and online proofing so readily available, I didn’t see the need to pass this cost onto you, plus eliminating printed proofs is a great way to go “green”!

2. Referral bonuses – Word of mouth advertising is the best compliment I can ask for. You have no idea how happy it makes me to know that you were so happy with your pictures that you told a friend! So I am changing my referral program a little bit, now your bonus could be anything from a complimentary print, to a gift card to a local store. The more people you send to me, the better your bonuses get! It’s the least I can do to show you how grateful I am. I have been truly blessed with the best clients ever!

3. Sex & the City – Okay, so this isn’t really a Chanterelle update, just a fun one! I was not a big Sex & the City watcher, but went to see the movie with “the girls” recently. I was surprised that it actually made me a little weepy! Definitely a chick flick, so leave the guys at home – otherwise, prepare for a lot of eye-rolling from the dudes, because there are parts that a guy just wouldn’t get. Grab your girlfriends and go check it out!
