Wedding: Margaret & Darren – Eastern Hills Baptist Church & Arrowhead Country Club – Montgomery, Alabama

Margaret and Darren’s wedding day was a gorgeous sunny one, which was great because there were some serious storms in the days before and after! Their ceremony was held at Eastern Hills Baptist Church, and even though it was hot out, they were totally awesome to work with and just went with the flow. They were willing to see each other prior to the ceremony, which makes it so much easier to get more great pics! The Arrowhead Country Club was the location of choice for their reception, and everything ran smoothly with the help of Amy Townson of Distinctive Designs, who also did the floral design. DJ At Large had everyone doing the twist, then the happy couple was whisked away in a hot red Malibu! Thanks Margaret and Darren for a great day!

Camille & Caroline are back!

I couldn’t believe how different Camille and Caroline looked compared to when I saw them for their newborn session! They are so squishably cute, and when mom busted out the outfits with the tutus, I thought I just might lose my mind (in a good way!). When the bikinis came out, I could hardly contain myself! Thanks to Grandma and Grandpa for coming along to help!

Which monkey are you?

Some of you have had the chance to meet my fabulous friend and fellow photographer Andy Armstrong – what you may not know is he is also a graphic designer. If you’re a photog or an aspiring photog, you must get your hands on his upcoming product, Design House. It’s full of everything you need to jazz things up in Adobe Photoshop, including actions, brushes, backgrounds, textures, and more. I was lucky enough to be asked to be the first to test it out – and my favorite part of the entire suite is the “monkey” series of actions, which are the cross processing actions that you see me using a LOT because they are totally SICK! Why are they called monkeys? Talk about being flattered – the very first monkey action was named after ME (I know, I think he’s nuts for doing it too). Check out the blurb on the left side of the Design House product page if you want to know the story!

So make sure you visit the website at www.getdesignhouse.com and fill in your email address – it hasn’t been released yet, but it’s close! Putting in your email address will add you to the list to be notified when Design House is officially released, plus you’ll be entered to win Design House free!

Madalyn & Jerrod’s Engagement

I thought Madalyn and Jerrod might question their choice of wedding photographers when I brought up the idea of them getting INTO a fountain – I was so stoked when they were all for it! There’s nothing better than working with people who trust you enough that they’re willing to get into a fountain while fully clothed to get the shot AND drive home wet. How cool is that??? If their wedding is this much fun, I can’t wait! We did Madalyn’s bridal portrait not too long after this session too, but we’ll have to save those for after the wedding!

Montgomery Pediatric Dentistry

When I was asked to shoot some headshots for Montgomery Pediatric Dentistry’s client info packets for new orthodontic patients, I was excited because how could they not have great smiles??? While we were at it, we shot the fabulous orthodontic staff, including Dr. Rob Owen. Special thanks to Geneva for organizing the patient models, and to Alexandra, Andrew, Angela, Clarence, Walker, and Kiara for showing off their teeth!
